H.O.P.E Preschool is a 5013C Non-profit organization whose mission is to challenge students to
exceed the kindergarten level of standards by development skills in the following areas:
H.O.P.E. encourages students to develop a positive self-concept and identity by using positive
praise and reinforcement. H.O.P.E. envisions that all students will not only maintain, but
exceed grade levels during their lifelong learning experiences. If you would like to register your

Our History
H.O.P.E. Preschool was established in the fall of 2004 as a non-profit organization under the
umbrella of Pine Street Community Development Inc. It’s missions is to challenge students to
exceed the kindergarten level of standards through academics, social skills, and
communication.
Our efforts are geared toward helping prepare children for school–particularly kindergarten.
But not just prepare them to meet the minimum standards, but to exceed expectations. Thus,
the name Helping Others Prepare to Excel or H.O.P.E Preschool evolved.
As the Preschool is housed in the former Pine Street School, the staff felt it appropriate to add
“Pine Street” to our website. The Pine Street Area was and still is the center of the
neighborhood. This rich heritage of neighbors looking out for each other is the “spirit” of H.O.P.
E Preschool.
The school site was purchased in 1987 by the Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church. The
buildings were renovated and the church donates the space used by the preschool. We are
blessed to be part of the continuing heritage of neighbors looking out for neighbors.
